Client Results
KNS documents engagement outcomes with client approval, in the client's own words. The first case studies are being prepared now. We would rather show you an honest work in progress than borrowed proof.
How KNS Documents Results
Every case study on this page will be reviewed and approved by the client it describes before it is published.
KNS Associates is a young firm built on a long career. Ken Sensanbaugher spent 30+ years leading HR at companies including Honeywell and Cummins, and serves as CHRO and VP of HR and Administration at JB Poindexter. The consulting practice is newer than the experience behind it, which means the case studies for this page are still being written the only way we are willing to write them: from real engagements, with client approval, after the results have had time to prove themselves.
That standard is deliberate. Executive HR consulting is full of vague success stories that cannot be checked. We would rather publish fewer results and have every one of them stand up to a phone call. As engagements conclude and clients approve their stories, they will appear here.

If you are evaluating KNS today, this page tells you two things. First, exactly how we will measure and document the work we do for you. Second, that when your story appears here, it will appear only with your approval.
What Every KNS Case Study Will Show
The same questions, answered plainly, every time.
The Business Situation
What was happening in the company when the client first called.
The HR Leadership Gap
What was missing and what it was costing the business.
What Was Done
The actual work of the engagement, not a list of buzzwords.
What Changed
The outcome described in the client's own words, not ours.
Why We Wait a Quarter or More to Report Results
Executive HR work compounds. Reporting it too early means reporting activity, not outcomes.
Executive HR work does not pay off overnight, and we will not pretend it does. A hiring process shows its quality when the people it selects are still performing well after the honeymoon ends. A compensation structure proves itself through a full review cycle. Culture and retention move slowly, then all at once. Anything reported before at least a quarter has passed is usually a description of effort, not evidence of change.
So we let the work mature before we write about it. When a KNS case study says something changed, it will be because the client watched it change and agreed to say so.

Imagery on this page is representative. Client photography replaces it once brand assets are approved.
In the meantime, the most honest reference is a conversation. During your consultation, ask about reference conversations with clients who have agreed to take them. Where that is possible, we will arrange the introduction directly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Because we publish outcomes only from real engagements, only after the results have had at least a quarter to prove themselves, and only with the client's approval. The first KNS engagements are being documented now, and case studies will appear here as clients approve them. We think that is a better answer than filling the page with claims you cannot verify.
Raise it during your consultation. Where a current or former client has agreed to take reference conversations, we will arrange a direct introduction. We will never hand out a client's name or contact information without their permission, which is the same discretion you can expect for your own company.
